In 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation designating the Sunday closest to January 22—the day the Supreme Court issued its infamous Roe v. Wade decision—as National Sanctity of Human Life Day.
While, unfortunately, not every President since Reagan has followed the practice of such proclamation, Christians continue to recognize the date as a significant reminder that by all means we must continue to celebrate the sanctity of life.
Sunday is that day.
It’s not a celebration, it’s a reminder that each individual is created in the image of God.
As David said, “You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13)
Pray for Life.
